I was born in Ukraine and graduated from Lviv State University,linguistics department. I used to teach both Russian for foreign students and ESL at Lviv Medical University. I also translated books on history, medical literature, created my own textbooks. In 1999 I immigrated to USA, where I combined the office job with writing and teaching practice. Teaching has always been both work and hobby for me, because I try to combine the knowledge acquisition with positive emotions, fun, humor, introducing people to cultural and intellectual values. I regard teaching as a two-way process, in which one-to-one communication between the teacher and the student is most efficient. Being restricted after the accident to working from home I discovered the advantages of e-tutoring. Corresponding with a tutor on a daily basis or at student's convenience provides the individual approach with the possibility to create texts and exercises based on the pupil's personal demands and mistakes.It works !
