I have been teaching H.S. math for 18 years, mostly Algebra and Geometry. I am also a tutor at tutor.com. I believe that too many people try to memorize math and become frustrated when they can't remember how to do things. Math is not to be memorized, it is to be understood. Math is the most logical subject taught in school and if more teachers would teach for understanding we would have fewer students having trouble with math.
