I am home with them during the day, then leave for tutoring most days after school is out (not a lot of tutoring work during school hours!).
I'm originally from Kansas City. Most people don't believe me when I tell them this, but I really did pick Stanford over Rice University because I found out the windsurfing would be better in the Bay Area than in Texas!
I came upon tutoring quite by accident (as do most), by volunteering as a coach/mentor for the Marymount High School robotics team. Once I was working with high school kids, that led pretty naturally into tutoring, a job which I hadn't even heard of back in Kansas when I was growing up. I worked briefly for a tutoring company before realizing what a scam that was and going out on my own.
