I'm responsible, reliable, and most of all, punctual. When tutoring, I look to serve as both a teacher and role model. I can help students build self-confidence, develop successful study skills, and form positive attitudes toward learning.
I have varied experience as a tutor. In college, I joined a group called SYNERGY, which allowed me the chance to work with underprivileged Nashville youth - very often minority students - in the areas of both academic tutoring and test preparation. Then I moved to Atlanta last June. Through my church, Peachtree Presbyterian, I learned about a tutoring program designed specifically for Hispanic students going to schools in the Buckhead area. I became a volunteer back in November, and I've had a blast tutoring middle school students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade.
Tutoring has always played an important role in my life, and I'm dedicated to providing academic help for motivated students. I enjoy teaching the kids and learning from them -- at the same time.
