I believe that a firm foundation in education is extremely important to securing a bright and successful future. While working on my engineering degree in college, I realized that my heart belongs in the field of education, and I began working as a substitute teacher and teacher/child-care provider at Kinder-Care Learning Center. After subsequently graduating with my education degree, I moved to Plano, Texas and accepted a fifth grade teaching position in an exemplary rated school. I taught all subjects to diverse classes including both special education and gifted students. I attended an average of ~100 hours of professional development each year. I routinely tutored students after school, and also provided tutoring to outside clients. I have experience working with students of all ages, ranging from babies to high school. As a tutor, I have the ability to provide more than just help with homework, but I can actually run diagnostics to identify and improve areas of weakness.

I received two Bachelor's Degrees from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville: Elementary Education and Electrical Engineering.
