I have a broad Liberal Arts background and significant time teaching and tutoring Middle School students. I have spent several years studying and working in Europe. Many clients describe me as inspiring and able to quickly relate to their children.
My original education concentrated on Medieval Studies (knights, dragons, etc.) and quickly expanded into Latin, Mythologies (Greek, Egyptian, Roman, and Germanic).
I strive to create an emotionally safe place for children to feel secure enough to recognize their personal successes. Providing positive feedback and encouragement while maintaining the delicate balance of mentor/fellow scholar, is paramount for success. I am at my best when I exemplify a passion to explore, problem solve, question, and self reflect. If a child is emotionally safe, the brain quickly opens up and imagination and curiosity lead the way to accelerated
learning.

Completed Honors research in Old Norse epic poetry under the direct mentorship of Dr. Horace Engdahl (Permanent Secretary of the Nobel Prize for Literature Committee).
