NicerTutor FAQ

  1. Q: How do I know if an email I received is not spam, or is not from a predator with criminal intents?

A: We at NicerTutor will do our best to prevent mass spamming of our tutor community. However, we cannot prevent determined individuals from sending fraudulent emails. We encourage our tutors to exercise caution in dealing with all inquiries from strangers. In particular, be suspicious of requests to be a private tutor for a "European girl". We also suggest initial face-to-face meetings be at a public place such as a library or a school classroom.

  2. Q: Why can't I see my email during my free trial period?

A: The free trial allows you to get a feel for how our service works without having to pay a membership fee. We are committed to proving to you that our service can help you attract customers during your free trial period. If we do not help you attract tutor students after the free trial period, just forget about it and owe nothing.

  3. Q: Why am I sometimes asked for my password, sometimes not, to access the same page?

A: Most of our password protection use
with a generous expiration period. If you revisit the page within that time period, you should not have to re-supply your password, unless you have closed your browser or rebooted your computer. In cases where a whole directory of documents need to be protected, we use a basic authentication process that has a different login screen and expiration period, but your User Name and Password are the same.

  4. Q: Do you accept credit card payment other than through PayPal?

A: Not at the present time. PayPal allows you to register your credit card number and other personal information such as your address at one place and use it for purchases at many sites including this one.
